Shikan is a borwn and tan demon dog that is said to be older than the serite itself. While old, he's still very powerful and protective of Karei being the only one he truly trusts. Shi for short, Karei and him have a bond that no one can truly understand, if Karei is hurt, Shikan is hurt as well. If you try to weild Karei's zanpacuto, Shikan with attack you from the deep recesses of the blade. He only allows Karei to weild and unleash him.

Inner World:
The inner world of Karei's zanpacuto is a dark forest shrowed in endless mist. Shikan dwels within a cave in the very center of the tall dark trees. Karei comes here on a daily basis in order to train and possiblly attain Bankai.

Shikai Powers: Kage Dageki, with a flick of the blade, she sounds out a powerful 'X' shaped black strike that cause a lot of damage and destruction to a vast area. This takes a lot of energy from her and she can only use it 3 times before turning back to unreleased form.
